The End Stage Renal Disease National Coordinating Center (ESRD NCC) is offering a third National Healthcare Associated Infections Learning and Action Network Event, “The Patient: Engaging the Most Important Member of Your Infection Prevention Team.”
The webinar will be held on January 27th, 2015 at 4:00 – 5:00 PM ET
and is available free of charge. Nurses and technicians can earn 1.0 CEs.
In this webinar, ESRD patients and care partners will share their experiences with living through an HAI and describe the solutions they have developed in partnership with their care team to prevent infection. The webinar will focus on the compelling reasons why HAIs need to be eliminated in the ESRD community and will provide suggestions on how to engage patients and care partners as part of your infection prevention team.
The program has been developed in cooperation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the ESRD Networks. It features patients, care partners, and members of both the National and the Network Patient and Family Learning and Action Networks who work together to improve the health of all people who live with end stage kidney disease through engaged care.
Nurses and technicians can receive 1.0 CEs through the Northwest Renal Network (Network 16), provider # CEP 16217, which is certified through the California Board of Registered Nurses. The ESRD NCC appreciates Network 16’s collaboration, which allows these CEs to be offered.
